Welcome !
_
I am current graduate student studying Intelligent Robotics at University of Southern California. I recently worked on the research project to develop middleware for OpenNI for 3D Face Recognition under the advisement of Dr Jongmoo Choi at USC Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Systems. This uses 3D face data and depth information for detection and recognition of the face. Uses robust methods like ICP for registration of probe face with reference and gallery. The software is free for download from OpenNI site here: http://www.openni.org/files/3d-face-identification/ .
I worked in the Interaction Lab on Skeleton and other Human Movements tracking using Microsoft kinect sensors with Ross Mead under the advisement of Prof. Maja J Matarić. My interest lies in Computer Vision algorithms,Sensing and Planning in Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction. My current work involves multiple user tracking using multiple kinects. I did my Directed Research on Finger/Hand Tracking using Kinect with the Medical VR Group at the Institute for Creative Technologies under the guidance of Dr. Belinda Lange.
